The 108th edition of the Giro d'Italia will take place from May 9 to June 1, 2025, starting in Durrës, Albania, and finishing in Rome. With a total distance of 3,413.3 km and a remarkable 52,500 meters of elevation gain, the race will cross 15 Italian regions and three countries (Albania, Slovenia, and the Vatican City). It features two individual time trials, six sprint stages, eight medium-mountain stages, and five high-mountain stages. The opening stages in Albania, never before visited by the Giro, include a hilly time trial in Tirana and a summit finish above 1,000 meters. Highlights include gravel roads in Tuscany, the return of San Pellegrino in Alpe, the Mortirolo climb, and the legendary Colle delle Finestre, the 2025 Cima Coppi. Among Italy's top hopes are Giulio Ciccone, Antonio Tiberi, and Davide Piganzoli. Filippo Ganna's participation remains uncertain, while young Giulio Pellizzari will not race. The grand finale will be in Rome, to celebrate cycling in the Eternal City.
